What is the Purpose of the Children's Book Writing Marathon?

It provides an appropriate level of information content for anyone who wants to write a children's book. It aims to acquire the technique of writing a children's book in a practical way.

How Does Group Work Over Whatsapp Work?

Your work begins in your Whatsapp group, which will be set up specially for you on the training start date.

There is a maximum of 10 people in the group and your trainer Duygu Özlem Yücel.

A two-step learning process operates in the group.

First step;

Every day for 5 days, different information about writing a children's book is given and you are asked to make applications in the light of this information. (These apps have content such as children's story writing exercises, character creation and technical knowledge exercises.)

The story studies written in the light of daily information are shared with the group.

Your instructor evaluates all your work, gives you the necessary feedback to improve yourself, and allows you to progress step by step.

Second step;

At the beginning of the training, the Illustrated Children's Book Design Training file is shared with you.

In your file; You have content related to the subject, training video, visuals and lecture notes.

This file contains information that will allow you to work on your own picture book sketch project.

You should review your file and work on your own book idea over the five-day period and prepare it to present it on the last day of the marathon.

At this stage, you can ask your instructor for the necessary support, share ideas with the group members, and make your project ready for presentation during this time.

You do not have to have a certain hour to do group applications. You can make the application of the day in the time zone you are available that day and send it.

Who Can Participate?

Suitable for participants of all levels who are interested in children's books. No experience requirement is required.
